Rupandehi : Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Shankar Pokharel on Monday extended his cabinet for the second time. CM Pokharel was reappointed to the post on Sunday following his resignation over a no-confidence motion registered against him.

The CM appointed Kalpana Pandey as Minister for Education and Social Development and Suman Sharma Rayamajhi as State Minister for Physical Infrastructure. Province Chief Dharma Nath Yadav and CM Pokharel administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Minister Pandey and State Minister Rayamajhi, respectively.

The seven-member cabinet of the province includes three members including CM Pokharel from the CPN (UML) and four including the State Minister from Janata Samajwadi Party. —
