KATHMANDU: Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles (BMCV) has received the “Overall Best Distributor – South Asia” Award from Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV).

The award was announced at the VECV International Annual Dealer Conference 2025 held in Malaysia from July 16 to 20.

Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, handed over the award to Mr. Hemant Puranik (VP – MAW Enterprises) and Mr. Shanta Batas (MD – BatasMAW), in the presence of VECV’s global distributors.

South Asia is one of the key markets for VECV. Being recognized as the best in this region is a major achievement for BMCV. The selection was made by a panel of 10 VECV experts based on performance in areas like sales, service, growth and market share.

BMCV handles sales and service of Volvo Eicher vehicles in Nepal. Its performance doubled last year, making it the fastest-growing distributor. Their range of small, medium and heavy-duty vehicles fits well to Nepal’s terrain. Volvo Eicher’s new “Majestic” coach has quickly become Nepal’s fastest-growing luxury bus.
