Kathmandu: The price of gold and silver has slightly increased in the domestic market. The price of the two precious metals has continuously climbed since the last five days and it went up today also.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, today the price of one tola (11.66 grammes) of gold is Rs 277,200, while the price of a tola of silver is Rs 5,645.

On Thursday, one tola of gold was traded at Rs 276,500 and the same quantity of silver at Rs 5,485. On Wednesday, the price of one tola of gold was Rs 278,000 and the price of same quantity of silver was Rs 5,655.

The price of gold was Rs 276,500 per tola and an equal amount of silver was traded at Rs 5,340 on Tuesday. Last Sunday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola, and yesterday it increased by Rs 4,100 per tola to reach Rs 274,700.

According to international media, the price of gold is 4,615 USD per ounce and the same amount of silver is 92 US dollars in the international market today.
