The Nepali Congress district chapter here has provided relief to the families affected by the landslide and flood. The affected households got the relief materials at their doorsteps on Sunday.

The rainfall occurred in the mid June had caused landslide and floods at Sirijungha and Sidingwa Rural Municipalities. Ninety-six households were provided relief materials as salt, cooking oil, rice and other food stuffs, according to Tarun Dal President in Taplejung, Prithvi Paluwa.

The relief distribution continued on Monday as well. Earlier, the NC had distributed relief materials at Maiwakhola Rural Municipality where the people were affected by the landslide. The money to buy relief materials was collected from people’s representatives, well wishers and social organizations.
