The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has approved the name of proposed Supreme Court Justice, Binod Sharma. A meeting of the Committee held at Singha Durbar today unanimously approved the name of Sharma as the SC Justice.

There is a constitutional provision that president appoints justices only after approval by the PHC. The Judiciary Council on second time had recommended the name of Sharma for the post of SC Justice. T

he Committee had given a deadline of 10 days for complain against Sharma, but did not receive even a single complaint. A meeting of the Judicial Council held on August 27 had decided to recommend Sharma for the appointment to the post of SC Justice.
