RBB Introduces Cross-Bank Teller QR Withdrawal Service

मेरोन्यूज २०८२ जेठ ९ गते १२:४२

In a significant stride toward enhancing customer convenience and fostering digital banking adoption, Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has launched an inter-bank teller QR transaction service in collaboration with Fonepay. This pioneering service enables customers of any bank within the Fonepay Network to withdraw cash from RBB branches using their mobile banking app.

Branded under the slogan “QR Scan, Cash Withdrawn — Simple, Smart, Seamless,” the service eliminates the need for traditional instruments such as cheques or ATM cards, offering a quick and paperless cash withdrawal experience.

What is the Cross-Bank Teller QR Transaction?

The Cross-Bank Teller QR Transaction is an innovative digital banking feature that allows customers of any Nepali bank in the Fonepay Network to withdraw cash directly from RBB branches. By simply scanning a QR code displayed at the teller counter, users can initiate and authorize a transaction through their bank’s mobile app — and receive cash on the spot.

How Does It Work?

  1. Visit any RBB branch across Nepal.
  2. Open your mobile banking app (of any Fonepay Network partner bank).
  3. Scan the QR code available at the teller counter.
  4. Enter the desired withdrawal amount (within your mobile banking transaction limit).
  5. Authorize the transaction.
  6. Collect your cash instantly from the teller.

This seamless process provides enhanced flexibility, especially in areas with limited ATM access or during times when customers cannot reach their own bank branch.

A Leap Toward Digital Banking Inclusion
RBB’s Cross-Bank Teller QR Withdrawal Service sets a new benchmark in Nepal’s banking sector, promoting interoperability and digital inclusion. The bank is committed to continuing its efforts to bring customer-centric innovations that simplify and digitize everyday financial transactions.
