Dharan (Sunsari), Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, has said the government had been carrying out activities, keeping promotion of good governance and service delivery in top priority.

At a programme organised by Sunsari chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists at Dharan today, Minister Sharma reminded although freedom of expression is ensured in democracy, no one has right to speak against norms and values of the constitution. Sharing that the incumbent government was working as per people’s aspiration, she mentioned that remaining task of transitional justice would be concluded soon in collaboration and consensus of all political parties.

The Communications Minister shared that the government was planning to provide incentives to media sector, citing media sector also faced economic crisis like other sectors. On the occasion, journalists submitted a memorandum to the Minister, demanding formation of Journalist Academy.
