Deputy General-Secretary and Chief of Publicity Department of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Jagannath Khatiwada, has been bereaved of his mother.

His mother, Malati Khatiwada, 80, passed away this morning in course of treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, said vice-chairperson of the party, Pramesh Hamal. Malati is survived by a son and three daughters. Her last rites would be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat this noon.
