Damauli (Tanahun) : One person has died and another injured in a road accident that took place this morning along the Prithvi Highway in Gunadi of Myagde Rural Municipality-1. The accident took place involving a scooter and the pillion rider died in the mishap, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Sumitra Thapa, 27, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16. The scooter rider, Puran Magar, 27, of Myagde Rural Municipality-3, was injured in the accident. Magar is undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Damauli, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK said.
The incident reportedly took place as the duo was heading towards Damauli from Pokhara.
