Efforts ongoing to subvert the achievements of movement, Dahal fears
Kathmandu : Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that conspiracies are rife to subvert the achievements made by the people from their seven-decade-long struggles.
Stating that complete totalitarian exercises were being practiced from some persons in the recent days, the former PM said that efforts being made to collapse the norms and values established from the progressive changes would be defeated by the people.
Addressing a condolence meet on demise of Professor Maniklal Shrestha in the capital city on Friday, Dahal said that efforts are ongoing from a section to defame the sacrifices of martyrs and norms, values and achievements of democracy, and lead the society towards negative move.
The risks are not yet over though the House of Representatives (HoR) was reinstated, the Maoist Centre Chairman added. He also argued that lessons could be learnt from the life of late Shrestha amid such hardships. Dahal was of the view that all should unite to fight against regression.
