RSS journalist Darnal comes up with his second book ‘Maya Pani Bitulo’

Kathmandu . A book entitled ‘Maya Pani Bitulo (Even Love is Untouchable)’ by Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) journalist Sushil Darnal has been launched. The book is in Nepali language.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire released the book amidst a programme here today.
Through the 164-page book, the author has tried his best to explore the facts surrounding the origin of the Dalit, their history, the ancestral occupation of the community, issues of caste discrimination and untouchability they face, their socio-political life, inter-caste relations and marriages between Dalits and non-Dalits and subsequent challenges in the relations and marital life due to the caste-based system entrenched in the society for long.

Similarly, the author has also presented brief information about the situation of the Gandharva community within the Dalit community, the status of implementation of Caste Discrimination and Untouchability (Crime and Punishment) Act, 2068 (2011), the reservation that the Dalit community is ensured, featuring unsuccessful inter-case love stories, the issues faced by Dalit women within the Dalit community and in SAARC countries, the suffering of the Dalit community to live as ‘untouchables’ and so on.The stories of the plaintiff women and their struggles have also been highlighted in the book.

The book enlightens about the Dalit Nepali women who created history, the situation of Dalit representation in Parliament, the status of Dalit women in civil service, policies of inclusion for Dalits, efforts to abolish the caste system and apartheid, the youth conference for the rights of the Dalit community and its impact, and the interaction with the MPs of the Dalit community.

A gold medalist in Journalism and Mass Communication in the Master’s level from the Purbanchal University, Darnal has been with the RSS for the last one and a half decades. He previously published a research book titled ‘Dalit Representation and the Contents in RSS’.
