Monarchy will never return: PM Oli

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the monarchy would never return as it had been abolished with the establishment of the present democracy through people’s struggle.
PM Oli said so while inaugurating the Ninth National General Convention of the Rashtriya Janasanskritik Mahasangh Nepal (National People’s Cultural Federation, Nepal) here today.
Stating that a bunch of ‘fools’ who do not want to be free citizens but become serfs even in a republic have been opposing this system and thus see everything negative in it, PM Oli, who is also the CPN (UML) Chair, urged one and all to intensify their creative campaign for prosperity, freedom and peace of the people.
“The whole forest resounds with the howling of a few jackals at night. Nothing happens with the mere howling of the foxes. If anyone dreams of becoming a king now, that is a mere dream. Such tendencies should be driven away by plying the ‘cultural dhyangro (drum)’ in a strong manner. You and we, all should move ahead through collaboration in this task,” the PM and UML Chair said.
Stating that there would be no shortage of audience watching positive and inspiring films and plays in favour of the country and the people, PM Oli stressed the need of producing films and dramas that protect and promote the diversity of the country including cultural, art and language.
