Gandaki: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, today left on a week-long visit to the neighbouring country China.

Chief Minister Pandey is leading a five-member delegation to participate in a programme being organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic relations, according to the Chief Minister’s Office.

Chief Minister Pandey has designated Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, Padma GC Shrestha, as the Acting Chief Minister during his absence.

Chief Minister Pandey was bid farewell at Pokhara International Airport by provincial government ministers and senior officials.

The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on July 28.
