MAW Enterprises and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Join Hands for SEEP Mela

Kathmandu : MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. and KathmanduMetropolitan City (KMC) have formally signed an agreement that will allow both parties to co-organize the SEEP Mela at Tudikhel Kathmandu with an agreement focusing on workforce capacity building and development.
The SEEP Mela is aimed at promoting vocational skills and creating employment opportunities throughout the country. SEEP (Skill and Employment Enhancement Program) Mela, which started on Jestha 7 (May 20), is currently providing training through practical skill building sessions in 37 professions throughout ten major sectors, allowing young people and job seekers to be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed on a contemporaneous basis while progressing toward quality employment, and allowing industry to gain the capacity to fill demand for
jobs in Nepal.
The joint venture constitutes a clear dedication of the parties to relationship and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically those goals related to decent work and economic growth. Additionally, the SEEP Mela aims to address the gap between the various skill development programs and the general and specific requirements of the labour markes ,to help build a greater independent and skilled workforce in Nepal.
In addition, the signing ceremony was coordinated by the Fair Management Committee,
under the auspices of Gatisheel Abhiyan Nepal. Mr. Ram Jee Poudel signed the affirmation mfrom the organizing party. In the presence of Mr. Tej Prasad Subedi and Mr. Mahesh Bista, representing MAW Enterprises, Mr. Tej Prasad Subedi & Mr. Mahesh Bista, CEO of MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd., and CEO of MAW Skills Academy Pvt. Ltd. respectively, officially signed and exchanged the agreement.
The SEEP Mela is anticipated to become an important tool in connecting training providers with employers and job seekers. The fair aims to bring all parties together to support the vision of Kathmandu Metropolitan City to develop a more empowered and independent workforce that will meet the needs of the national and global market.
Through this collaboration, MAW Enterprises and KMC hope to foster more public-private partnerships in skill development, create an impact on unemployment as well as the livelihoods within Nepal.
