Incumbent government committed towards rule of law: Minister Lekhak

Janakpurdham (Dhanusha) . Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak reaffirmed the incumbent government’s commitment towards maintaining rule of law in the country.

In a meeting organized by the District Administration Office, Dhanusha at Janakpurdham today, Minister Lekhak articulated government’s readiness to foster good governance, combat corruption and develop economic sector.

Lekhak, in the meeting with the Heads of public offices in the district, called for cooperation from them as well as all other civil employees to support these efforts.

Referring to the frequent changes in the federal and provincial government in the country leading to public disappointment, he clarified that the two biggest parties in the parliament came together to form the incumbent government led by CPN (UML). “This government will protect people’s rights,” the Minister vowed.

On the occasion, he encouraged the civil employees to perform their duties without being influenced by any external pressures. “The civil employees should deliver on public’s works adhering to the guidelines of the government, constitution of the country and legislations,” Minister Lekhak maintained.

He viewed that the civil employees should not consider themselves as the ruler and misuse their position to trouble or harass service-seekers. “Those who engage in such activities shall be punished,” he warned.

Present in the meetings were Chief District Officer of Dhanusha, Ramuraj Kadariya, and Chiefs of security agencies and other public offices in the district.
